Carpet Cleaning Challenges

Published by at 5:19 am under

In my experience in Carpet Cleaning Utah for almost four years now, I have naturally found some stains just won’t come out. Most spots we have no problem with and a few take extra work to remove, but there are always some things that just will stay in the carpet.

First thing that I have seen is any time a plant is on the floor on carpet watch out for two things. Make sure that the plant is not in a wicker type basket or in any wood holder with some form of stain to the bottom. The unintentional over watering of the plants happens way to often and the blemish on any wood surface or especially baskets will transfer to the carpets and create a lasting brown spot to that area. Hopefully you could just keep your plants there until the carpets are changed at that point. A drip pan under the plant is another substitute to keep the moisture out of the carpet.

Secondly with the plants, any time you use miracle grow or other type special foods for the plants and you over water it you may find that the miracle grow has turned your carpet a nice yellow color. I once used 4 of my strongest chemicals and started to bleach the carpet around the yellow but had no change with the yellowing. Once I had a Carpet Cleaning Utah customer have hair dye in the carpet but she new that wasn’t coming out either.

Lastly bleach will damage carpets faster than any other household cleaner there is. Foods to keep out of the carpet would include anything that has food coloring in it. These foods include Kool-Aide, especially red, blue and green yogurts, certain popcycles with strong colors, just about anything with deep colors added. However for the food colorings Chem-Dry Carpet Cleaning Salt Lake City Utah does have certain chemicals that will clear away most of these spots but may include extra costs with minor risks.
